About the Journal

The National Journal of Medical Education is the official, open access, peer-reviewed publication of the Interdisciplinary Association of Medical Educationists (IAME). NJME is an integrated platform of interaction between researchers of various aspects of medical education. The journal allows free access to its content and does not charge for submission and processing of manuscripts. Authors retain copyright under a creative commons license for broad dissemination and enhancement of educational knowledge.

The journal is published quarterly and adheres to strict ethical standards and is committed to upholding high standard of ethics at all stages of publication process. The journal follows Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE), International Committee of Medical Journal Editors (ICMJE) and World Association of Medical Editors (WAME) for best practices in the field of education scholarship. All contributors must meet the ICMJE criteria for authorship. The journal has zero-tolerance policy regarding all forms of plagiarism. In alignment with COPE guidelines, AI cannot be listed as an author and authors are supposed to disclose the use of AI tools, if used, in ‘acknowledgements or ‘methodology’ section.
